Using our trusted 90’s workhorse – a Tascam 38 8-track reel-to-reel recorder. and Panasonic SV3800 DAT interface – we have developed an analogue chain which is a 100% authentic Lofi sound. Lofi Hip Hop Drums

To capture this unique atmosphere, we collected the samples through the digital to analogue converters on the DAT machine so that the authentic reel to reel sound was not lost.

Each sample has been carefully blended with specific EQ to enhance the correct sonic structure and transient reflection. This way the decided PHAT and thick sound of the drums where preserved completely intact.

To give you the most enjoyable experience, and so you can manipulate the samples to suit, this audio is recorded with 3-5db headroom. The drums samples all come with free tape hiss in the background for all you low fi folks to fall in love with.
